Alliance Club

The Alliance Club at Fairfield Woods Middle School meets once each week with the goal of promoting visible support for LGBTQ+ students and families. We create a safe space for conversation around important topics impacting our LBTQ+ community.

Beloved Community

The Beloved Community Club is a group of Middle School Students from the three FPS middle schools. They come together once a week to discuss current events, and things they are wondering about. 

Child Guidance Center of Southern CT:
Gender Diversity and Resilience

CGC’s Gender Diversity & Resilience Program serves transgender and gender expansive youth ages 10-18 and their families. Through an individualized combination of group, individual, and family therapy, as well as case management, psychiatry, and gender affirming medical care, our multidisciplinary team meets teens and families where they are in their gender journey. 

CONECT

CONECT’s work begins with relationships. Our team works hard to build trust in one-on-one and small group meetings both inside individual congregations and among our diverse membership. Through active listening, we discover critical issues to tackle and identify those leaders who are ready to take meaningful action.

CT BIPOC Mental Health Initiative
This initiative was created to provide a safe space to openly discuss the impact of the pandemic & Racial Trauma on Black, Indigenous People of Color. These forums will allow you to openly vent as well as get supportive resources.

Equity CT

Creating learning opportunities to build an actionable understanding of equity, and to empower action and civic engagement in order to consciously dismantle systemic inequity.

Fairfield Education Association (FEA) Antiracism Committee (ARC)
We are teachers ready, willing, and able to transform Fairfield Public Schools into an anti-racist institution from the classroom out.
Fairfield Equity Coalition
A youth-led organization taking local action to advocate for educational equity. 

Fairfield & Friends Racial Justice
Book Club
Designed to help one another and educate one another on the topic of racism in hopes of eliciting some change in our own beliefs and spreading the newfound education throughout the community.

A nonpartisan citizen action group and Indivisible Group based in Fairfield County and southwestern Connecticut.
First Church Congregation

GLSEN CT

GLSEN Connecticut is a chapter of GLSEN, a national organization fighting for every student’s right to a safe, supportive education. GLSEN Connecticut is a grassroots initiative, working locally in our community to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Ludlowe Youth For Equity

A diverse student group at FLHS engaging in the community and beyond seeking change and reform. 

NAACP - Greater Bridgeport Branch

In 1909, several Black leaders from different organizations such as the “Committee of 40” and the “Niagara Movement” came together to form what is now the oldest civil rights organization in the country, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

PLAG

Founded in 1973 after the simple act of a mother publicly supporting her gay son, PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization. PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies.

PTA Council Equity Project

Parent - led, devoted to engaging parents and working with students & staff in our Fairfield Public Schools & greater Fairfield Community. Every child, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or sexual orientation deserves to be loved, protected, and respected.

Racial Equity & Justice Taskforce​
The mission of the Racial Equity and Justice Task Force (REJTF), established in 2020, is to identify any racial and ethnic inequalities and injustices in the Town governance and operations and to provide the BOS with proposals and improvements to effectively minimize or eliminate them. 
SEPTA
The Fairfield SEPTA is a group of parents, teachers, community professionals and community supporters striving to improve the education and social interactions and recreational opportunities of children with special needs.

Showing Up for Racial Justice -
SURJ Fairfield County

SURJ is a national network of groups and individuals working to undermine white supremacy and to work for racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability.

Triangle Community Center (TCC) is Fairfield County’s leading provider of programming and resources to nurture growth and connection within the LGBTQ community.
